“The Day of Selling the Nation.”

The Cabinet, led by Uncle Next Door who tore up the constitution,

was able to self-appoint as Prime Minister for more than 8 years.

They resolved to allow foreigners

to buy land in the country up to 1 rai

by investing only 40 million baht in the country.

This 40 million means buying government bonds,

keeping it for only 3 years, and then they can withdraw.

But the land foreigners buy

can be owned forever.

Purchase tax = none

Capital gain tax = almost none

Inheritance tax = almost none

Land tax = almost none

This policy doesn’t exist in any other country in the world.

Claiming this is to stimulate the economy

doesn’t make sense.

There are many ways to stimulate the economy.

But this method favors capitalists more.

Capitalists can release land they’ve hoarded for years,

sell it at a high price.

And overall land prices will rise

until locals can no longer afford to buy.

Locals will have to rent land from foreigners

even though it’s land in their own country.

Anyone who thinks that real estate agents selling to foreigners

are traitors,

if compared to what the Cabinet is doing,

I’d say… it’s just dirt under their nails.

Today, Thai agents will find it even harder to work.

profiting from transactions

to help foreigners obtain rights.

Now they are charging heavily.

Today, the price jumped from 1,500 to 10,000.

Such expensive “tea money,” right?
