Things You Absolutely Need to Prepare When Dealing with Something Called the “Bureaucratic System”
.
A system full of overlaps / ambiguities / cross-responsibilities
To the point where it feels like a grey-zone mechanism
That regular citizens like us can barely understand.
You literally have to study the history of each district
To figure out how it even came to be.
.
When was this district established?
How much area does it cover?
What are the exact procedures for contacting them?
This ties into property laws and other regulations.
.
Since when have we held the land?
When was the structure first permitted?
Which district is responsible now?
Which department handles what?
What documents are required?
.
Sometimes the districts argue with each other.
They toss the responsibility back and forth.
Even people within the same department disagree.
So what are we, the public, supposed to do?
When will things ever be done?
.
People who know nothing about these steps
Walk in all fresh-faced and wide-eyed
Only to inevitably blurt out, “What the hell is this?”
.
I used to be one of those people—totally lost.
Ran around in circles until my car tires wore out.
Fast forward to now—
“I came prepared… I’ll tell you that.”
Thanks to the contradictions in your own system,
We citizens have to know everything inside out
And go bang our heads on the wall on site.
.
We have to question the filing processes,
And how requests are submitted,
Forcing you to finally give answers and explain to the people.
.
In the morning, I stood in the rain with soaked shoes.
Argued until my shoes were dry.
In the end—I won.
Got a conclusion + the officer agreed to take action.
Case closed at last.
Damn it!!! LOL
