Life and Money Lessons I Wish I Knew at Twenty

These are the things I would like to go back and tell myself
when I was twenty.
If I had understood them then,
my work, money, thinking and relationships
would have moved forward several years faster.

And I believe that if you read them clearly, one paragraph at a time,
you will see the same picture:
a million baht does not come from a secret formula.
It comes from having the right foundations
and repeating them every day.

1. Develop your strengths all the way
and use them as your value in earning money.
We grow up in a system that points out what we are weak at
more often than what we are good at.
But the real world does not pay the person who is a “duck”
and can do everything at an average level.
It pays the person who stands out in one area—and stands out completely.

If you speak well,
train it until it becomes a weapon.
If you are good at languages,
develop that ability into income.

If you can do one thing exceptionally well,
that is your path to wealth.
Do not spend your whole life fixing weaknesses.
Live through your strengths
and keep making them bigger.

2. Stop trying to change other people.
You will never defeat beliefs
that they have accumulated for ten years.

True closing is not dragging someone
into believing the way we do.
It is selling what we offer
within the framework of their beliefs.

People who live for other people’s agreement
will never move forward,
because they must wait for approval all their lives.
Believe in your own method
and keep walking it to the end
without expecting everyone to applaud.

3. Set clear boundaries
and dare to say “no.”
If you do not draw the line,
other people will pull you along according to their emotions,
not according to what matters to you.

This is the time when I can be contacted.
This is the time when I cannot.
This is a subject I can discuss.
This is something I will not take on.

The word “no”
is a wall that protects your time
and a word that closes the door on the wrong people in your life.

4. Stay with people who help you grow,
not people who keep draining the life out of you.

Some people leave you exhausted after a conversation.
Some people make you feel energised.
You must choose carefully
who deserves a place in your life.

Time is a resource more expensive than gold.
Do not spend it on people who see you as a ladder.

5. Accept that you are “in the wrong place”
and leave as quickly as possible.

Sunk cost is one of life’s biggest traps.
Money already spent,
time already invested
and relationships you have forced for a long time
cannot be recovered.

But your future can still be saved
if you dare to leave the wrong path
as quickly as you can.

6. Do not dim your light
because you are afraid it will hurt someone else’s eyes.

Society likes to teach us not to stand out,
not to go too far and not to show ourselves.
The result is that talented people disappear
and capable people become quiet.

Your light is a resource.
Use it. Let it shine.
Do not be afraid that someone will dislike you.
Those who cannot accept it
will disappear on their own.

7. Take 100% responsibility for your life.

Stop blaming your parents.
Stop blaming the economy.
Stop blaming the government.
Stop blaming competitors.

The day you say,
“My result equals my decision,”
is the moment you get the remote control of your life back.

A victim of circumstances
will never become rich,
because they believe from the beginning
that they can do nothing.

8. Become addicted to self-development.
It is the most worthwhile addiction in life.

The day you graduate
is the day old knowledge begins to expire.
The world updates every day.
People who stop learning
are overtaken without realising it.

Improve by just 1% from yesterday
and in one year you will become a completely different person.

9. Every problem
is a heavier dumbbell.

Problems do not arrive to make you lose.
They arrive to teach you
which skill you need to strengthen.

If you cannot lift it,
the dumbbell is not necessarily the wrong size.
Your arm may simply not be strong enough yet.

The bigger the problem you get through,
the bigger the level life will open for you next.

10. Do not wait for everyone to understand
before you begin.

An idea everyone agrees with
is often an idea that is no longer new.

People who create something new
are laughed at on the first day
but become examples later.

Do not wait for approval.
Start first and understand later.
The world has always moved this way.

11. The more you give, the more you receive.

When you create a product,
start with “How can this help someone?”
not “How much profit will I make?”

When you create content,
focus on the value viewers will receive,
not the number of Likes or Shares.

People who begin by giving
have the greatest power of attraction.
Good people, good work and good money
will come to them by themselves.

12. Do not be afraid of being misunderstood.

No one has time to understand every side of you
from the first day.

Let your work explain you.
When that day comes,
the people who once doubted you
will become quiet on their own.

13. Change your habits and you change your identity.

Write down the identity you want to become
and compare it with the routine you follow now.

If they do not look alike at all,
it means you are still waking up as the same person
while hoping for the results of a new person.

Only new habits
can take your life to a new place.

14. Keep your promises to yourself
and your confidence will return.

Every time you break a promise to yourself,
you damage your self-esteem a little at a time.

Start with small promises
and fulfil them.
You will learn to believe in yourself again,
and that is the greatest capital in life.

15. Big work is a long-term game,
not a seven-day experiment.

Major success
never comes from trying something superficially.

It comes from hitting the same thing again and again,
day after day,
one hundred times, one thousand times,
until the result finally agrees to appear.

If you want to play a big game,
think in years,
not weeks.

16. Drama has never made anyone richer.
Do not let it consume your life.

There are 365 days
with drama available to consume every day.
But no drama
has made you more capable, richer or wiser.
Cut it out and your life becomes much clearer.

17. It is never too late.
There is only “I have not started today.”

Tomorrow is an illusion.
It never truly arrives.

Start today.
Even if you are slow,
you are still faster than starting tomorrow.

18. Do not make decisions while afraid.

When you are afraid,
your brain sees only dead ends
and cannot see choices.

Your job is not to solve the problem immediately.
It is to bring your mind back to calm first.
A calm mind sees a way out.
A fearful mind sees only problems.

Do not judge your life
with the emotion of a single second.

19. Focus like a laser
before creating multiple income streams.

Real multiple income streams
begin with one main income stream
that is strong enough to stand by itself.

One money-making skill
must be developed to an expert level first.
Then branch out into two, three and four.

Focus narrowly all the way,
then expand widely later.

20. Be content with what you have
while leaving the door open for growth.

Sufficiency does not mean stopping your growth.
It means, “I am okay here,
but if I receive more, I will welcome it.”

People who build from a feeling of lack
become more worried the more they have.
People who build from fullness
become more prosperous the more they have.

21. The outside world
always reflects the inside world.

A messy home, broken finances and chaotic relationships
are not coincidences.
They reflect something inside you
that has not yet been put in order.

Fix the inside first.
The outside will gradually rearrange itself.

And when that day comes,
you will understand that sustainable wealth
never starts with money.
It starts with “the right way of thinking.”

These are the 21 lessons
I would like to hand to my former self
and hand to you today.
If you take them one at a time
and do them seriously,
your life will move much faster than you expect,
and a million baht will become a result,
not merely a floating hope.
