If you want to know
which stage a person's mind is in...
it's not hard to see.
.
The human mind is no different from a tree.
When it's still a young sprout just emerging from the ground,
it's very sensitive.
It will do everything it can to survive.
It will stretch its neck and branches upwards,
to receive as much water and sunlight as possible.
.
But when it becomes a big tree,
it will bend its branches down as low as possible,
but spread its canopy wide,
to provide shade and shelter for smaller trees,
or as a refuge for animals.

.
People who think they are superior,
who look down on others,
who use flashy, extravagant things,
who create an over-the-top image for themselves,
in fact, their minds are still crawling on the ground,
no different from a newly sprouted seedling.
Their minds are lacking something,
whether it’s money, basic necessities, or acceptance from others.
.
Different from those who already have all basic necessities,
who use just enough things to meet their needs,
who are humble,
nice & friendly,
who respect and honor others,
who are ready to genuinely give good things to everyone,
until they become well-known or someone people speak of positively.
.
Necessary things are not about price.
Desired things are not about beauty.
But what is “enough” —
that’s for each person's heart to answer.
.
These things,
they come from the subconscious,
and come out through words, language,
facial expressions, gestures, and actions,
which others can easily sense and understand.
.
A good-looking face and nice figure do not always mean a good personality.
An unattractive face and dark skin do not always mean an aggressive or rude person.
.
When you meet someone who is lacking,
don't despise them yet.
You must understand this point too.
Then help them fill in,
within the strength you can offer.
.
As for those who are already fulfilled,
just continue to be good companions to each other,
strive to do good things,
help, share, and be kind to others,
so they can copy the good things from us and pass them on to others.
.
Look deeper into people’s hearts,
and you’ll know whether you or the people you’re associating with
are that kind of person.
