This morning, I came across a "10-billion-baht lime" case.

In the afternoon, I passed by Meng Jai area.

Saw another banana plantation plot.

I felt like chit-chatting with someone.

So I walked up to a motorbike taxi guy who was smoking in front.

X: Hey bro, why are they planting bananas here?

(The motorbike guy burst out laughing, then took the cigarette out of his mouth.)

W: They’re avoiding taxes.

X: What tax, bro?

W: The land tax that everyone’s debating about.

X: Ohhh, so they plant bananas instead. It becomes agricultural land.

W: Yep! Just place a banana tree there, and it becomes agricultural land. LOL.

.

(Eh... even a motorbike guy knows this, huh.)

.

Actually, land that should be classified as agricultural

should be green zone, green stripes, yellow,

whatever it may be.

.

Bringing orange or red zone land to plant this and that,

it doesn’t really make sense.

In the end, big investors always find ways to avoid taxes anyway.

The unlucky ones are those who inherited multiple plots

but can’t sell them off.
