Another question that many people wonder about.
The Main Contractor is an important puzzle piece that turns architectural plans and perspective images into reality.
Each developer chooses a different main contractor.
To be honest, there are only a few big players who specialize in constructing low-rise or high-rise buildings.
Therefore, one main contractor might work for many developers — it’s normal.
Some developers always use the same contractor, for example:
LPN (3 Phorn)
Siamese (Ritta)
Sena (Saeng Fah)
The advantage:
It’s easier to control quality.
Just by looking into each other’s eyes, they understand.
Besides the contractor, the developer is also very important.
Do they have enough budget?
Do they rush to finish or cut costs?
Do they control the work to meet standards, on time until handover?
When problems happen, we see the so-called "the water recedes and the stumps appear" (a Thai idiom meaning true flaws are revealed), which affects both the developer’s and the contractor’s reputations.
I’ve picked some highlight projects from AP, Pruksa, Origin, Supalai, SC Asset, Major, Sansiri, Sena, Noble, etc.
(Projects newer than 2012 can mostly be checked via Google Street View, as most images are archived there.)
